This special offering of the PCUSA will be received on December 23rd. There are 2 projects which receive funds through this offering:
The racial ethnic schools and colleges of the PCUSA, and the Assistance Programs of the Board of Pensions.
There are eight schools within the PCUSA which serve primarily racial ethnic students. The offering is an important source of funding for their ministry to students. The assistance program of the Board of Pensions “fills the gaps” when regular medical and pension programs fail to meet the needs of persons served by the Board.
Order forms for Christmas Poinsettias are still available in the back of the Sanctuary. The cost for each poinsettia is $7.50. Please fill out each form and return with payment to Sue Saufley Sullivan, or the Church Office, by December 9th.
This has been a long time coming, but the new 2008 Directory (published December 2, 2007) is now available. The Directory information, mailing labels, birthdays/anniversaries and other information used in the office is all now in one database for easy updating. Speaking of updating – the office has done its best to have all the information in the new Directory accurate, but of course that will never happen. When you have corrections and new information, please remember to keep the office informed.

The Kate Riker Circle is now collecting contributions to help the large number of needy families, who have children in Mercer County and Harlow School. The money collected will be turned over to Vickie Preston, who is in charge of the Family Pride center. Mrs. Preston know about the needs of these children and their families. It is an effort to bring happiness and to fill a need at this Christmas time.
If you plan to contribute to this fund, your check should be made out to the Kate Riker Circle – “For the Family christmas Fund”. Checks or cash should be given to Jane Adrian, Shirley Howe, or Louise Dean by December 4th.
Thank you,
Louise Dean, Chair
